Power Grid Deluxe

Power Grid Deluxe is a standalone game that features a brand new double-sided game board presenting Europe and North America, along with newly customized wooden parts and an entire deck of new power plants, some of which use natural gas instead of garbage. The game includes exciting new components that enhance the gameplay experience.

One of the key additions is the "Against the Trust" two-player variant, which provides an exciting new way to experience the Power Grid game. The core mechanics of Power Grid remain the same, with the familiar auctions, nerve-racking resource speculations, city network building, and intense competition among players leading to a tight game ending where several players fight for the win.

The objective of Power Grid Deluxe is to supply the most cities with power when someone's network reaches a predetermined size. Players mark pre-existing routes between cities for connection, and then bid against each other to purchase the power plants they need to power these cities. However, as power plants are purchased, newer and more efficient plants become available, potentially allowing others access to superior equipment.

Players must also acquire the necessary resources (coal, oil, natural gas, and uranium) to power their plants, with the exception of the "renewable" wind farm plants, which require no fuel. This creates a constant struggle to upgrade your plants for maximum efficiency while still retaining enough wealth to quickly expand your network and secure the cheapest routes.

The new overview cards for the resource refill further improve the game's overall experience, making it more engaging and streamlined.

Power Grid Deluxe is a 2-6 player game that takes approximately 2 hours to play. It is a deluxe version of the classic Power Grid game, offering a fresh and enhanced gameplay experience for both new and experienced players.
