Hamburgum Antverpia Expansion

In the thriving European city of Antverpia (Antwerp in Belgium) during the 16th century, players represent wealthy families. The objective is to gain wealth by shipping sugar, cloth, and beer overseas, constructing new buildings, and making donations to the 6 most important churches in the city. However, the winner will not be the wealthiest family, but the one who has donated most wisely to the churches.

This expansion of the game Hamburgum offers a different map with a new allocation of buildings, as well as different rules for the donations and visiting the church space on the rondel. Unlike the original Hamburgum, there are no church districts, and all donations must be made in a specific order. Additionally, a church tax is implemented on the rondel, and ships provide more victory points.

The board features historical views taken from original 16th-century maps, with Antverpia on one side and a new map of Hamburgum on the other. The expansion includes new and beautifully illustrated church donations, printed on thick cardboard. The game material from the original Hamburgum, such as real bricks, metal bells, and coins, will also be used.

The game can be played by 2 to 5 players, with a playing time of approximately 70 to 90 minutes. It is recommended for ages 12 and up.

In this game, it is not the wealthiest family that will emerge victorious, but the one that has made the most strategic and wise donations to the churches. The expansion offers a fresh and engaging experience for fans of the original Hamburgum, with a new setting and unique mechanics that add depth and replayability to the game.
