The world may be vast, but your kingdom is modest in comparison. While small when measured against the grandeur of the world, it is of a respectable size when juxtaposed with other realms. However, in this expansive world - one that dwarfs smaller domains, if such places exist - your kingdom is of moderate proportions, comparable to worlds of similar stature, and only slightly diminutive when set against those slightly larger. To put it succinctly, the time has come to extend your borders.

You may have heard tales of distant lands - exotic countries where the customs and conventions differ from your own. These are the places where they have pancakes but not waffles, where the people adorn themselves with the wrong number of shirts, and where they lack even a word to describe the subtle exchange of glances between two individuals, each hoping the other will take an action they both desire but neither wishes to initiate. It is towards these foreign shores that you now turn your gaze.

This is the 6th addition to the game of Dominion. It introduces 26 new Kingdom cards, including 20 Actions, 3 Treasures, 3 Victory cards, and 3 Reactions. The central theme revolves around cards that have an immediate effect when purchased or gained.

Dominion: Hinterlands is an expansion, and cannot be played independently. To experience it, you will need Dominion, or a standalone expansion to Dominion (such as Dominion: Intrigue first edition). These provide the Essential cards (Treasure, Victory, and Curse cards) and the complete rules for setup and gameplay. Dominion: Hinterlands can also be combined with any other Dominion expansions you may possess.
