CONCORDIA: ROMA/SICILIA - EXPANSION

The Concordia: Roma/Sicilia expansion offers two distinct game concepts, each with its own unique features and challenges.

CONCORDIA ROMA: The game concept for Concordia Roma centers around the 7 historical quarters of Rome, with 25 iconic sites for players to construct their houses. These quarters replace the provinces and cities from the base game. The city of Rome features only land routes, allowing only land colonists to move within the city according to the usual rules. The sea colonists, on the other hand, have their own new ship track at the bottom of the map, where players can find 5 additional buildings.

CONCORDIA SICILIA: In Concordia Sicilia, the island of Sicily and Mount Etna take center stage. The state of Mount Etna is depicted on the bottom right of the map, and its activity directly impacts the construction and production in the three provinces closest to it. During stage 1, Mount Etna remains calm, but it could awaken at any time. In stage 2, light ash rain affects production, and the affected provinces no longer yield a production bonus. In stage 3, Mount Etna is close to eruption, and the cities and their citizens moan about the burden of the ashes, making it undesirable to build new houses. In stage 4, Mount Etna finally erupts, with fires and ashes raining down from the sky and streams of lava threatening the fields and cities, rendering production impossible.

BASE GAME REQUIRED: The normal rules of Concordia's base game also apply to this expansion unless stated otherwise. The expansion is designed for 2-5 players and can be played in 45-90 minutes, suitable for ages 14 and up.

GAMEPLAY: Players can choose to play either in the historical quarters of Rome or on the island of Sicily. In Concordia Roma, the new Ship track with exciting bonuses awaits exploration, while in Concordia Sicilia, the active state of Mount Etna directly impacts the production and construction activities of the surrounding provinces.

EXPANSION: Concordia Roma/Sicilia is an expansion and requires the base game Concordia to play. This expansion adds to the fun and depth of the original Concordia game, providing players with new challenges and strategic options.
