Balearica/Italia for Concordia

The newest expansion to the extremely popular game, Concordia, is intended for players who have Concordia Venus. This expansion comes with a 2-sided game board featuring the balearica and Italia maps, as well as the new fish market variant. The balearica map introduces a fresh twist, where players start with two ships already at sea and no capital city to begin from. Instead, land colonists are built later in the game, but can be ferried across water using ship colonists. The fish market offers an extra layer of planning ahead, introducing a new commodity, fish, which replaces the monetary bonus in the prefect action. Fish can be sold at the fish market board for goods, cash, or special actions.

The expansion is designed for customers who own the Concordia Venus (Rio561) base game. If customers own the Concordia base game (Rio499), they will want the balearica/Cyprus expansion (Rio590) instead, as the Italia map is already included in the (Rio499) base game. The fish market variant is compatible with all Concordia maps and the salsa expansion.

This expansion is intended for players aged 14 and above, with a playing time of 90 minutes for 2-6 players. It is an expansion only and requires the base game.
